For the White Collar 2010 packaging, the concept was that the actions should play to what makes the show and its characters so appealing. The sense of intrigue, not only in the criminal world that Neal is helping Peter penetrate, but also in the dynamic between Neal and the world of the FBI, who Neal can trust and who he can’t. The actions will play to each character’s strength. Neal’s actions will be based on his great criminal skill set, although framed in such a way as to not make him seem like one of the bad guys. As Peter can sometimes overplay his actions, we let him play more of the straight man, with complimentary actions to what Neal is doing.

2009
The first season of White Collar packaging saw Neal and Peter in a loft set, to establish a more stylish take on New York. Many of the set ups were geared at introducing the characters of Neal, Peter and Elizabeth to the USA packaging world.
The actions that were the most successful were the ones where the characters were allowed to stay the closest to who they were on the show, with Neal being cheeky, Peter being the straight man and Elizabeth playing a bit of a foil to Neal.
Aside from the hat, the one part of the packaging that felt a bit out of place were the shots on the roof. While they were really stylish and dynamic, the buildings in the background seemed a bit more “old new york” then the stylish world we had set up in the interior shots.
